Gwen Munoz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gwendolyn Rea Lockington Munoz was born in Oregon City, Oregon on April 19, 1940. Gwen died suddenly and tragically on May 19, 2022, in Fremont, California. She is preceded in death by the one and only love of her life, Joseph A Munoz; two sons, Edward Leon King Jr. and Donald Manuel King; her parents, Manuel and Birdie Pacheco; her brother, Manuel Pacheco Jr.; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Hall King; grandson, Tyler Munoz; grandson, Kristopher Jauron; and son-in-law, Patrick Jauron. Gwen had one living brother, Michael Pacheco. She was the adoring mother of five children: Edward King, Donald King, Kelly King, Candace King and Alex Munoz. In addition, Gwen had two grandchildren she raised as her own, Katrina (King) Davidson and Joseph Munoz. In all, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren enjoyed her wide-ranging love. But if you ever asked her, Gwen would double those numbers as she considered all children, related or not, as her grandchildren. She was a very caring, loving person, so full of life and always ready to share all of that with her large family. Gwen was known for saying what was on her mind and often spoke with no filter, holding nothing back. She was a real spitfire and the family’s ‘gossip queen,’ the person you would turn to for seeking out the best kept secrets. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at 11:00 am followed by a committal service at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon Ca. A celebration of life will be at the Olde Vets Hall in Dixon from 2 to 5 pm.
