Craig Royce Coleman

February 2, 1949 - January 18, 2022

Craig Royce Coleman It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Royce Coleman, a bright spark In this world, a man of many facets, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Craig was born in Merced, California, on February 2nd, 1949, and called Fairfield his home for over sixty-five years, attending K.I. Jones elementary School, and Armijo High School. He lived a full and active life, and after a hard-fought battle with Covid 19, Craig entered the Kingdom of God on January 18th, 2022. He is survived by his wife Donna Lynn Coleman, sister Becquie Permenter, daughter Laura Lawton and Melody Pruitt, and a host of granddaughters, grandsons, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Coleman, father, Roy Coleman, and his son Trenton Craig Coleman. Services with Military Honors will take place on May 13th, 2022, at the National Veterans Cemetery in Dixon, California at 1:30 pm, followed by a time to gather at his home to reflect and celebrate Craig’s life. He loved his family, his friends, and his country. Following Advanced Infantry training and Airborne jump school, Craig was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, Charlie Company, in Viet Nam, where he served with honors, receiving two Purple Hearts for wounds sustained in battle. A gifted and creative builder, Craig owned and operated Trinity Auto body, in Vallejo, California, for nearly two decades, then expanded his career by establishing and opening Coleman Appraisal Services in Fairfield. His involvement in the community, in the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship, the Military Order Of the Purple Heart, and Freemasonry brought encouragement, and care to numerous others. He was passionate about his love for God, and for his country. Craig would not hesitate to speak out when he saw an injustice or step out to help where he saw a need. Craig was loved by many. The world has lost a unique and special man that will be deeply missed.
